Dr. Steven J. Shandley was born and raised in San Diego. After graduating from the University of San Diego he went on to attend Northwestern University Dental School where he was elected Student Council Class President. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Shandley served in a general practice residency program at Illinois Masonic Medical Center. An outstanding dental resident, Dr. Shandley was asked to stay a second year as the Chief Resident in the Department of Dentistry. Dr. Shandley founded his private practice in 1982 in Hoffman Estates and helped open the Illinois Masonic Center for Family Medicine as a satellite dental clinic before focusing exclusively on his private practice.

Dr. M. Elizabeth Kane is a native of Hoffman Estates and attended Colorado College in Colorado Springs before earning her DDS from Northwestern University, where she was praised by her instructors as very detail oriented and always striving for perfection. Upon graduating, she completed her General Residency at the University of Illinois Hospital, Chicago and joined the staff of the Department of Dentistry at Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Kane entered into private practice in Hoffman Estates in 1982.
